The Windham Concert Band

The Windham Concert Band has a long tradition of providing quality music for summer concerts throughout Eastern Connecticut and nearby Massachusetts.  Rehearsals are held in Shaefer Auditorium at Eastern Connecticut State College on Tuesdays from 7-9 pm. The season begins in mid-May and runs through early August. The 80+ band members range in age15 to 85 years The WCB is always open to new members with the  appropriate performance skills.
 

This season the WCB will be directed by Mr. David Vaughan. Music is selected to both challenge the musicians and entertain the public. Programs are for designed the whole family and include a variety of traditional band music including marches, overtures, musical theater selections, and other standard repertoire.  Concerts often feature soloists, highlighting the  talented membership.
 
Performances are funded by local organizations and are open to the public free of charge.  Audiences are invited to bring lawn chairs and picnic baskets to enjoy Summer outdoor concert band music at its best. Please join us.
